Formatting of plain text message received is lost

Some Plain text messages I am receiving via POP3 are
loosing all their line breaks and formatting. There is
no message at the top saying line breaks where removed,
and the message just becomes one big paragraph.

It is only happening to specific automated emails from
one source. Any other client (including manually with
Telnet) shows the messages as they should be but as soon
as they arrive in Outlook they are messed up.

If I edit the message, change it to RTF then close it
without saving it shows correctly in the preview pane or
if I open it again. But as soon as I move away to
another message and then go back it is messed up again.

Very strange formatting problem. Anyone with any ideas..
I can supply headers of the message if that helps.
Definately an Outlook 2003 problem. I have some older
ones in my folder that look fine.

See my message sent a few minutes ago to this newsgroup. I know you state
that Outlook was not showing line breaks removed, but it just seems so
similar to my problem that it might just help!

(for ease of reference, the solution was to just turn off the option to
remove line breaks)
