Formatting task bars

I have a resource who only works Thursdays & Fridays, and when I switch
to a bar rollup view for my project, the task bars for her work have a
glitch: if an individual task takes more than 2 days for her to
complete, the task bar in question spans non-working days for her.

For example, if a task for her starts on Thursday, May 12 and requires
20 hours of her time, it should take her May 12, 13 and part of May 19
to complete. However, in the bar rollup view, the task bar spans May
12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19.

How can I make the bar not show up for May 14-18? When I present this
output to management, it makes it look like she's working 7 days a
week, and I can't find the answer to this anywhere in the task bar
formatting box or Project help.

I'm on MS Project Pro 2003 for Windows. Thanks for any help you can
provide.

In the Bar Styles of that Gantt Chart, you probably have the Bar Styles
"Task" and "Split", but do you have both of these styles? FYI: "Rolled up
Split" should be listed BELOW "Rolled Up Task".
Name Appearance Show For
Row From To
"Rolled Up Task" [][][][][][] Normal, Rolled Up, Not Summary 1
Start Finish
"Rolled up Split" ............... Normal, Rolled Up, Split, Not Summary 1
Start Finish

If you have both of those bar styles (with those settings) in the Gantt
Chart, was the task in question formatted differently, with other bar
styles? If so, you can reset it to the Gantt Chart's default, by double
clicking on the task's bar, and clicking the [Reset] button

I checked, and those bar styles are indeed there -- Rolled Up Task and
Rolled Up Split, with the formatting you specify. And I tried resetting
the bar's style, to no avail. I even tried formatting different bar
styles to see if they would have any effect, and didn't.

Any other suggestions?
