Hey Consuelo -
That means you have a default chart type defined that uses customized
patterns. You have two options:
1. Go to Chart Type on the Chart menu, click on the Custom Types tab,
select the User Defined option, click on Default under Chart Type, and
click the Delete button. This resets to the original default chart
type, a clustered column chart.
2. Make a chart as usual (which uses the current default) with as many
series as may have been customized in the default type. For each
series, change the custom settings to automatic. Go to Chart Type on
the Chart menu, click on the Custom Types tab, and press Set as Default.
The current chart type, without the series customized patterns, will
become the new default type.
In option 2, you can select one series, and set the patterns to
Automatic, then select the others one-by-one and press F4 to repeat the
previous action.
