Formatting toolbar disappears

I have lost my formatting toolbar and do not want to pay Microsoft $35
to tell me how to reinstall it.
What do I do?

How about you pay me $30 and I will tell you!

But, you're in luck. Toolbar advice is free today.

View > Toolbars > Formatting

If you had created a custom designed formatting toolbar, it might be
under another name, but still in the Toolbars list.
