CAN A FORM AND SUBFORM BE LINKED TO ALLOW FOR SEARCHING DATA IN BOTH AT THE SAME TIME?

You can do an "And" search but be aware that if you don't get matches in both
sets of data, you'll get no results.

I think this can be done, but I need some clarification of
your question:

A Form & subform are normally linked to synchronize views
of data in two tables having a one-to-many relationship.
That part is easy. Is that what you are trying to do?

Or, are you trying to have both forms searching in the
same table or in unrelated tables...That's possible too
but the code to do it is different.

What say you?
