Forms hoandler

D

Dave

We have instructors traveling about the country. At the end of the course
the students fill out a survey (it is paper today).

Our classes are about connectivity so the hot ticket is that the survey
could be completed on-line.

The questions are:
Do I need a server to handle forms?
Is there software that can used in place of a server?
Can Windows 2000 Pro be configured to handle forms?

Thanks

Hi dave

Your questions are
1. Do i need a server to handle form?

Ans: You need a webserver ( MS internet information server or any other
webserver) supporting frontpage server extensions

2. Is there any software that can used in place of a server?
Ans: server means a webserver, and its a software

3. Can windows 2000 Pro be configured to handle forms
Ans: YES, you can
install the Internet information service on the win200 Pro computer. To
install the IIS, go to control pannel, add remove programs and click on add
remove windows components, select IIS from the resulting window. Make sure
that you are also installing the frontpage server extensions

Hope this helps
