Forms In 2002 created in 2003

When ever a user creates a form in word 2003 we can not open it with word
2002. If I open it with word pad and resave it is ok and opens.
The error that gets created is
AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 10.0.6612.0 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.2.3790.3959 Offset: 0002a982
