Forms Lock up

We just rolled out a new Access db. The application is split FE/BE. Each user has his own copy of the FE and the BE lies on a server. So far the application has been a success except occasionally the application will lock up. This has happened about 10 times in about 150 logins. My questions are what may be causing this and how do I safely log the user out? So far the only way I have been able to log the user out is do a control alt delete which I know is not very good. However I attempt to make sure the user is no longer processing data and that it is not the network running slowly which it has the occasion to do. So far it has not caused any corruption issues and I have not had to repair the database. Once I get the user logged out, they have been able to log right back in without incident and without any lock up. About 150 users have access to the database. However the most that have been logged in at one time is 8 but none of those users had any issues. It seems to be a very random thing. The database is on a wan (very bad I know but I don't have any choice thanks to our wonderful IT dept) and I thought this might be the issue until it occured at the same location as the server.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

Thanks a million!
