I would like to create a form in Excell with drop down
fields. A order form where the customer uses a drop down
menu to select an item. How is this done?

If you mean a true UserForm, then I'd suggest visiting
Martin Green's website. He has some nice simple examples
of UserForms and ActiveX controls, as well as explanation
of VBA code:

A quick way is to use Data, Vaidation, Allow list in a
cell.
