Forms

I have a packing list that is currently in Word. I want
to add form fields which I have done but I want to avoid
all the text moving around when you add the number of
items in the form field. Basically, it is a list of
items, (poles, pins, carts, etc.) in two columns. Form
fields are in front of each with a space or tab between
each form field and item. I set the field for a maximum
of 4 characters but when you put in "1" and then "112" the
items shift. Is there a way to lock everything from
moving. I can only think to create a table for each
section but that seems like a lot of work.

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

Creating a table and placing each form field in its own cell is the
recommended method. There are others (text boxes, frames), but they're
even more tedious than tables.

You may find the tool for drawing table boundaries to be of some use.
