FORMULA; ADD A COLUMN, SUBTRACT 1 CELL, TAKE THE TOTAL X 10%

I want to total a column, subtract 1 particular cell from the total, and
take the total times 10%. I know it should be easy but......

=(SUM([range])-[cell])*.10

Example:

=(SUM(A1:A1000)-A50)*.10

Adjust to suit your needs.
