Just wanted to give some heads up for others that may run
into this situation. For details of the error see my post
September 11,2003 titled "project pro crashing". Project
Pro was crashing when we were connected to the server and
copying and pasting cells within the project. After a week
and half posting here and working with Microsoft Preimier
Support, applying fixes and other suggestions, we found
that project was crashing due to a syntax error in one of
our custom enterprise text fields. The field was using a
custom formula created using the MS Project Pro formula
editor. Turns out there is a bug with the formula editor
that was allowing this syntax error. If you copied the
formula a pasted it into a VBA Formual editor, they syntax
was wrong. The wierd part is that the formula was actually
working until we applied some of the latest windows
security patches to our servers. After one of the patches
was applied, can't tell you which one at this time, the
formula started causing Project to crash when copying and
pasting cells.
