Formula & Graphical Indicators

dave

Hi,
I'm trying to get a formula to display a grapfical indicator, but can't get
it to do what I want.

My formula is basically

If % complete = <100 & finish <Now, then RED
If % complete = >80 and <100 & finish >now+10, then Amber
Else Green

I'm sure lots of you have done something similar, can you let me know as I
can't seem to get the syntax right.

Hello Dave,

Try the foloowing formula :
IIf([% Complete]<100 And [Finish]<[Current Date],"Red",IIf([% Complete]>80
And [% Complete]<100 And [Finish]>[Current Date]+10,"Yellow","Green"))

Insert a Text(x) field, then :
Tools / Customize / Field
Formula : copy/paste the formula
Graphical Indicators :
Test for 'Text1" : equals, Value : Red; image : red traffic light
etc...

Hope this helps,

Try replacing Now with [Current Date]:

IIf([% Complete]<100 And [Finish]<[Current Date],"RED",IIf([% Complete]>=80
And [% Complete]<100 And [Finish]>[Current Date]+10,"AMBER","GREEN"))

I don't think this does exactly what you want, but it's a start.

I have a similar question but need some help with my formula.
What will I use for the STATUS OF EACH TASK.

For example:

Green = On Schedule
Yellow = 1-5 days Late
Red = more than 5 days and critical path

Thanks for the help.
