Formula in Custom task fields

Hello,
What is the secret to create a Custom task field with a formula in PWA 2007
: 9 out of ten of my trials are a failure. Error message "a field is not
recognized" while the same field has been used in a previous field (with
success ;-)

I create Task and Resource custom fields in Microsoft Project Professional
2007 using Tools - Customize - Fields and then add them to the Project
Server system by clicking the Add Field to Enterprise button. That way you
have the complete functionality of the Formula dialog, with access to all
default and custom fields, and all Functions as well. The only problem is
that after you add the new fields to Project Server, you need to edit the
field name using the PWA interface. Hope this helps.

Hello Dale,

I did that, but I bump against the same problem : Error message "a field is
not recognized".
Any idea?
Thanks for your help

Is the error message referencing a field in your formula? If so, what is
your formula? Give us the precise formula, including exactly what type of
field you are using and we will try to help further.

Dale,
The error message is the standard one without any precise reference : "The
formula contains a syntax error or contains a reference to an unrecognized
field or function name".
Due to this issue, I lost the formula ;-(
