formula: multiplying a negative & positive

I am working on an If,Then, Else statement. is there any
way to create an absolute value (no negative number not a
specific cell reference) in a formula?

The ABS() function allows you to enter a cell reference, a
fixed number, or the result of a previous calculation.

Try using the ABS function ie =ABS(cell)
