Can anyone please assist me with the following:

Issue(probles): The Cell A1 contains the value ABC.123.XYZ.123 or
A1=ABC.123.XYZ.123

Solution required:
B1=ABC-123
B2=XYZ-123

Try:

=LEFT(SUBSTITUTE(A1,".","-"),7)

and

=RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE(A1,".","-"),7
