formula requires parameter in error

I have a query with several fields based on formulas and then other
formulas based on those calculated fields. Everything works ok except
that when I run the query I get the "Enter Parameter Value" box for
some of the fields that were created via formula that are now being
used in another formula. Is there a way to stop this?

did you change any of the underlying queries? Do they rely on forms
that are not open?

I don't think so. The fields that supposedly need the parameter are
formulas. For example, one of the cells is "Bonus:formula here". When
I run the query it asks me for a parameter for Bonus. If I leave it
blank the query seems to run fine. The strange thing is that I have a
Total field as well that is based on the Bonus field and two other
formula based fields, and Access doesn't ask for a parameter for
Total.
