Hi,
I am trying to use standard formulas in a pivot table in excel where I
have exported a Data Analysis report.
Now in the data analysis report I am showing the Budget cost of two
resources, in the Pivot table I would like to see the difference
between these two fields.
In Excel I am doing the following:
1) I select the Data area
2) I do a right click with the mouse and select "Value Field settings"
3) I the dialog box I select "Show value as" in the list I select
"Difference from"
4) In the list that appears I select the "Resource list" from the left
side and the name of my reference resource, in the right side
5) I click OK and the result in the pivot table value area is "N/A"
I have tried to do the same with a normal pivot table (meaning a pivot
that comes from fixed database within and excel sheet) and the formula
works.
Do you think this is a problems because of the external data source?
Thanks for helping!
