Formulas Key

I have not worked with Excel for quite some time and I cannot remember all of the formulas, symbols, sequence etc. Does anyone know where I can find a key that will tell me what each symbol is for and how to put it together. I have the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division down, but I need to know some of the more complicated formulas. Please let me know

Are you perhaps talking about functions?

What I do when I need to enter a function and don't remember how to
use it, or if I don't know what function does what I need, I use
Insert / Function. This presents a window with two lists: One, a list
of different types or categories of functions, and for each category,
a list of functions in that category.

That helps me with creating my own spreadsheet, but I also have one that I have to explain to my boss, in the fx bar what does example G$:R$ mean? He wants to know how the first one came up with his numbers....Thanks so much, Michelle
