Formulas referring to Name defined ranges.

I've got this formula works as follows:

=VLOOKUP(A$48,Haygood,2)

"Haygood" is the name of a group of defined cells. Is there a way I can
write this formula so that the word "Haygood" is based on the text in a
particular cell?

Example: Cell C50 is "Haygood". In the formula, I'd like to reference the
text in C50 as the Name definition.
