I am trying to set up a formula which will change the text colour in one cell
if another one is changed to "yes", if it says no then it will be unchanged.
Can this be done and if so how?

try format>conditional format>formula is>=$A$2="yes"

Thanks Don - I can get the initial cell to change but i cant get it change
the other cell - this is the problem im having

You would use conditional formatting on the cell you want to change which
could be a2 or another cell. If you want many cells to be formatted based on
cell a2 then just use the format painter.
