fornt page freezes

I'm a Newbie to Front page 2002 that inherited my chorus
organization's webiset. I have built a current page in
WORD to add to website, which I have added with no
problem. The problem comes into play when I have gone back
to add additional details to the page and when I save it.
It WILL save, but the page then freezes on me and I am
unable to shut down without using Cntl-ALT-delete method.
I have been researching why this is a problem lately, as
I've not had this issue beofre with SAVING and being able
to navigate the website?? And I came across a forum that
said if I copied WORD into the website, then this adds
extra coding or something? and then, not able to save??
I thought the kewl thing about Front Page is that you
could use OTHER MS based programs to add info to websites?
Please help with SAVING info without the whole site
freezing.

Make your life simple. Do not use Word to create web pages. Do not use
Front Page as a word processor. The right tool for the right job, and
all that.

will strip formatting) then Copy from Notepad and Paste
into FP.
You can also Drag & Drop the Word file into your design

in FP, which works ok...but I think you'll still have a
little cleaning up to do.
Not sure why your locking up, there may be something

embedded in your Word file that FP doesn't like.

OK..renamed them. Now..about those FP extensions..is that
something "I" do to add? or should I leave well enough
alone??

without FP extensions. For starters use only lower case
and NO spaces in file names...so rename that page
lead_school.htm instead of what you've got there.
