Forwarding email removed from Inbox

Windows XP, Office 2000 Premium; Whenever an email is forwarded, the original
email is removed from the Inbox.
There are no rules established. I saw that this question has been posted,
but I have seen no resolution.

IMO, Outlook makes settings like these so hard to find. Go to Tools, Options,
Preferences, Email Options, Advanced email options, select Save Forwarded
Messages.

I'll bet it's not. I'll bet that you have your View set to "Unread
Messages" and not just "Messages".
