I have Outlook 2000 running in Internet Mail Only Mode. I have created a
rule that forwards incoming messages that include specific words in the
sender's address to a contact. The rule executes correctly all the time no
matter what the incoming format of the message is. However, the contact
that recieves these messages cannot always see the attachments. I
discovered that if the incoming message is plain text the recipient can see
the attachment, if the incoming message is HTML or rich text it is sent as
rich text. I have tried changing my mail format to plain, html, and rich
text with the same outcome.
Another interesting behaviour is if I select (do not open an email) and hit
forward in the outlook tool bar it sends HTML and rich text messages as rich
text and plain as plain. However, if I open the email and click forward on
either tool bar (message or outlook bar) the message sends in the format of
the original message.
I need the rule to send the message in the format of the original message.
Can anyone help.
Thanks
