FP 2000 Page Icons

Hi all

I've recently begun using FP 2000 on a contract job. I'm
reasonably familiar with basic operation of the
application and all that. However, I'm seeing some odd
page icons that are eluding me as to their meaning. I
found a page at
http://www.prowebsites.net/frontpagehelp/FP2KIcons.asp
but the icons I'm seeing aren't there. I'm seeing page
icons that look as follows: They are the typical dog-
eared page icon. However, these are shaded somewhat
yellow with a small globe in the center of the page. I
would assume from the globe that it represents something
on the web? But this is on an intranet.

Keep in mind that I'm well aware of the folder icon with
a globe on it, indicating a sub web. These are an equine
of a different hue.

Anyone? anyone? Bueller? ;)

Howdy.

Normally, the different icons each represent different
filename extensions. So, what's the filename extension on
these yellow-shaded globe-icon page icons?

Hi Jim

A fellow MVP I see! (I'm a Microsoft Help MVP)

The odd icons have an extension of .html, same as most of
the other icons that have other images. Odd, huh?

Thanks... Rick :)

The files with the different icons may have been saved by some program
other than FrontPage. You might be able to figure this out by looking
for meat tags in the <head> section of the page, or by double-clicking
the files and seeing what program starts up.

Hmmm, well thanks for the information but I'm sure that
isn't it. Here's why. The files are totally new files
that I'm creating using FrontPage. So I know the editor
is FrontPage. However, in thinking about this, I'm
wondering if the following isn't what is happening here.

I've taken two different pages and saved them as page
templates. All the new files are being created using one
of these two templates. So I'm wondering if the icon
represents a page created using a template? I'll have to
experiment tomorrow.

Cheers... Rick
