FP 2002 Student Version

I just purchased via eBay Frontpage 2002 Student Version.
I did not know it was a student version. The information
just said an unopened Frontpage 2002.

I have two questions. Is the student version a full
version? Is the student version upgradeable?

If not, I think I paid too much for a limited version
that is not upgradable and I should return it.

The Academic versions of Office Programs are full featured. If you are not
a student, or otherwise eligible to use the Academic version then yes, you
paid too much because, technically, you shouldn't use the license.

As for upgrading, I don't think that it's upgrade eligible, but I couldn't
find a definitive answer on that. You may need to poke around the licensing
information on the MS website.

Normally, academic types buy the student version at
college bookstores, and must show a university or college
ID to do so. There are no upgrades because a full student
version of a new release is usually cheaper than the
standard upgrade price.

Sooner or later, though, the student will graduate or drop
out. Then, when the next version appears, Microsoft will
get their money for the full product.
