FP 2003 Overlapping Tabs

Jeanne

I am using the interactive buttons on the following site:
http://www.sunwellservice.com/index1.htm I believe I've
chosen the Soft Glow Tab. How do I get them to overlap?
I'm going to need two rows so people with 800
X 600 resolution will not have to scroll. but I want them
overlapping so it
looks like they are behind one another...if that makes
sense..LOL I'd seen a
webpage with it once that used FP, but can't seem to find
it again to use as
an example. And I cannot seem to come up with any answer
Thank you in
advance if anyone can help me :)

You can only "overlap" them as you would with any images using DHTML and layers
Easier if you either create your own custom smaller images (and remove any white space from the images) or scale the existing ones
down in the Interactive Buttons Dialog
- To create your own see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;555010

Jeanne,
Are you looking to do something like this >>>>>
http://dkotech.com/overlappingtabs.htm ?
I created these overlapping tab buttons using FrontPage2003 and layers.
I copied the first button into the first layer and then used copy/paste to
create all the other buttons (after each copy/paste, I would drag the button
to it's location.
I used Metal Tab buttons because it appeared to give a better effect than
the Soft Glow button. As you see, I gave each of them a different color for
a fun look.
I also made some of the buttons taller than others to give a depth
perspective.

That's really close to what I need to do, I want kinda two rows, but the way
you explain it should work. And this works when you change it to
transparent? I'm not very used to the layers, but I will see what happens
:)

Thank you VERY much for your help!

Don

Jeanne,
You are certainly welcome. I think your idea of having overlapping tab
buttons will add a nice effect. Good luck on your project and happy new
years.
