FP 2003 Slower than 2002

Mike

I've recently upgraded to FP 2003 from 2002 and when I
type content in Design View there is a few seconds delay
before the letters appear. This never happened with the
earlier version. Even though I eventually see all that
I've typed the few second delay drives me nuts.

The larger the file/page the longer the delay. I know
there could be more critical problems/bugs to deal with
but this one is annoying none the less.

Thanks.

What are your hardware specs? Processor speed and amount of RAM would be
helpful. And what operating system?

Hi,

My computer's specs are Intel 2.2 GHz, 256 RAM and the
server is an Apache FREEBSD VPS v2 Standard with 1250 MB
of disc space. I use Microsoft XP as my OS.

As I mentioned the problem started when I upgraded to
FP2003. I never had this typing delay using FP2002.

Thanks for your help.

Looks like you need more RAM.

1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
