Why Visual Web Developer 2005 (Express) is slower than FP 2003?

Hi,

I am not sure if this is due to configuration errors or by design, but
during the test on VWD 2005 Express and FP2003 on editing a remote
production site, I found it's much slower than FP 2003 (both installed on
the same machine with the same Internet connection) for opening up the site
and processing (edit, save, preview) the page.

Wondering if this is by design or I need to configure further for VWD?

Is VWD also suitable for editing ASP pages? The reason for the question is
when I used its debug function, it seems to check on .Net functions as
opposed to ASP and will return a series of errors for not using .Net. This
is ok though but just wish to know if that is also by design.

Thanks in advance.

FrontPage just edits HTML. Visual Web Developer is a programming toolkit for
ASP.Net. Therefore, it has more work to do.
