FP broken Hyperlink probs

Hi chaps...

I would like to ask if anyone knows how to get around the
breaking of some common Hyperlinks :- _vti_bin/ows.js and
_vti_bin/owsbrows.js?

I've been stuck on it for a few weeks and can't resolve
this, but the sites seem to have no problem which is very
confusing.

I'm using FP2002 on Win2000 with a WIN2K server running
FPSE 1.1

Thankyou in advance! Fred.

How are you putting the .js in those folders
- they belong in your web in the root or a normal folder

I'm using a default Sahrepoint webpage, so the .js is
already created on the server in the _vti_bin/ folder.
Should I be able to see this folder from my PC when I'm
editing the site in frontpage?
BTW - Thanks for the quick reply!

No you should not be able to see any of the _vti folders from within FP, as
the FP extensions manage them.

Is there a likely scenario then, that would cause these
hyperlinked .js's to be severed then?
I can't actually see what problem they are causing but FP
seems to suggest it's bad. Any thoughts?

Thanks

I would think the problem arises because of permissions
settings on the _vti folders. They are not "normally "accessible
from within a web on the server, unless the server is set to
allow scripts to be run.
Have you checked for such a setting??

AFAIK the _vti_bin folder is a virtual folder on the server. Hyperlinks to
files in this folder, if listed at all in FP reports, will probably be
listed as external links which are always shown in the broken hyperlinks
report.

I'm not it's that - as I say it is a default FPSE web, not
changed on the server as far as I know.
These folders aren't accessible from the web, but FP2002
is telling me that 77 pages haves broken links to these
files.
How can I check?
