FP can't publish properly after reinstalling WinXP

Hi,

I don't know how you could help me with this FP problem.
Recently I reinstalled my WindowsXP, and I gave a different user name
for this computer than it had been before, and my "Computer name"
changed as well.

I don't know exactly which information FP uses to determine the
publishing status, but the thing is that FP can't overwrite files
automatically, I always have to confirm overwriting manually (at first
time only, after then FP "remembers" me/the new user).

What's even worse is that when I change a file name, FP publish the
new file, but it doesn't delete the old one from the server! I just
noticed it..
I have a rather big site with 1000+ pages, so it's a serious problem
for me.

Any help would be welcomed.

Hi,

Where did the FP web come from that was restored on your PC? What version of FP are you using?

FP 2003 will ask if you wish to delete files that are not in the web, i.e. changing file names.
