---> FP Membersite template ?

Hi all,

I have been charged with developing a membersite with various features
like forum, news, email list-serv, etc and wanted to use FP 2003 since
it is relatively simple to update content. I was curious if anyone
knew of a low-cost template that would work well ? I have looked at
Simple Machines (simplemachines.org) and their freeware package, but
that requires MySQL and PHP programming which is out of my skill set.
Anyone know of any alternatives ?

In fp 2002 you can use the "discussion groups" addin or even a "guest book"
program to provide modest discussion facilities. If "News" is simply a page
of "whats happening" then just type it. "email list-serv" lives on the
e-mail server with a URL from your website. Etc. You would have to be a
bit more detailed on what you wanted but there are widgets and free .asp
code out there that require minimal setup work to make them work in a FP
environment. I didn't program the chat programs I run or the "local
message" area (its a guest book) or even the newgroups (via Google) on my
website. I downloaded code and pasted it as directed. www.chatnfiles.com
