FP Server Extensions

Although I have installed IIS and FP Server Extensions on my computer,
when I click on Submit in a page
in which I asked for e-mail of results I get the message:

Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions' Smart HTML interpreter on
this non-HTML page: http://localhost/goliathxp/MeetRegForm.htm

What am I missing?

TIA

What kind of scripts are on this page?

Thanks. That seemed to do it. I no longer get the message. However,
it's not putting anything into the
form_results.csv or formrslt.htm files. I must have messed it up.

Thomas,
Thanks.
I've not written any scripts yet, so can't be anything there not
generated by FP. I have some single line text
boxes and drop-down boxes in a form, and have asked it to send results
to my e-mail address.

Following Steve's advice I changed it to shtml and it doesn't generate
the error report.

Can copy the code view of the form page to a reply to this post?

That's interesting. What is it being processed by then?

And, I am left with my original question: what's wrong with my
installation of IIS
and FP Server Extensions?

I found something else interesting. Although I got away with changing
the extension on a subpage, it doesn't work
if the form is index.htm. That is, if the main page is renamed to
index.shtml it apparently is not recognized
as a Web page.

Thanks again.

By default, IIS is not set up to process .shtml pages which are Server-Side Includes.

You need to post to the Windows newsgroup on setting up and configuring a mail server.
