FP versions inWindows XP

I am supposed to start training someone in FrontPage who runs on windows XP.
The software that has been assigned is FrontPage 2000. No problem so far.
But it is an Upgrade. I don't think that this person would have any MS
software except Word (new with XP). I opened the other Jewel case to find
FrontPage 98, which must be the eligibility for the above upgrade.

Is this do-able (put FrontPage 98 on a Windows XP)?
And what is the down side?

You don't have to actually install FP 98; just start the install of the FP
2000 upgrade, and when it says it can't find a qualifying product for the
upgrade, take out the FP 2000 CD, put in the FP 98 CD long enough for it to
recognize it as the qualifying product, then take it out and out the FP 2000
CD back in.

Thanks, much, Kathleen. Thanks JL Amerson. I guess I'll have to ask if it
is home or Pro. How would the procedures differ?

Has anyone tried installing the Server Extensions on the Web Matrix Web
server? I haven't tried it and wondered if it would work.
