FP2000 and Vista

D

Dave Mew

I have installed FP2000 on a couple of new PCs with Windows Vista Businessm
on them. I cannot openawebs though. If I try to open a web I get a message
saying that the folder "http://server" is not accessible. Servers are an
ancient NT4 server and a new Windows 2003 SBS. They are accessible from
FP2000 on XP.

The webs can be opened by opening them in IE then selecting "Edit with
Microsoft FrontPage" from the Page menu (IE7 - IE6 equivalent also works).

I have tried the solution in KB 928692 but that does not solve it either.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks

Vista is having issues running FrontPage 2003, two versions later than
yours.

It probably won't work at all.

You may want to consider taking the opportunity to upgrade to the new
Expressions product (which is the "new FrontPage")
