FP2002 and Impacts from XP SP2

I've been a FP user since about 1978 and use it
exclusively to maintain my web site. The web site is
published to a WPP and has run flawlessly since its
inception, until I loaded XP SP2.

After installing XP SP2, I can no longer "see" pages in
FP. All I get is a gray screen...no normal view, HTML
view, or Preview options. Nothing.

The files still show up in My Computer/My Webs. I can
open FP and the web itself (c:\Documents and
Settings\....etc. displayed in Title Bar). Either
Navigation or Folder views work fine...I can find the
files I need to update. HOWEVER, when I click on the
desired file, I get no response...only a gray screen.

At this point, I only see two alternatives.
1) Get some advice here, or
2) Revert back to a restore point prior to the XP SP2
install. (Hate to do this because of the time it took to
dl and install SP2...but....)

Any help from anyone?? Thanks.

Had you install all Office XP updates prior to installing the Windows XP SP2 Update?

I had no problems with installing Windows XP SP2.

Yes, Windows updates were all automatically detected,
scheduled and installed since XP (XP Pro) was installed
on this system (about 18 months ago, I think). The only
update required from MS (aside from various foreign
language updates for Office apps) was XP SP2.

Also, before original post, I had already run Detect &
Repair on FP, but no change in this abnormal behavior
resulted.

And, Oops...typo in first paragraph of original
thread...been a user since '98...

Ran D&R prior to the original posting in this forum, but
neglected to mention that... It didn't fix the problem.

Try a detect an repair on IE (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=318378 ) and check for the latest video drivers for
your PC/OS
