FP2002: Dictionary/Spelling problem

P

Pete

I have the dictionary set to English(Australian) and yet the spell checker
consistently reports my Australian spellings as incorrect (eg. colour,
behaviour, realise, etc.). It appears that the US dictionary is controlling
the spell checker despite Australian being selected. Can anyone help me with
this problem?

Thanks Kathleen, but,

1.. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.. Double-click Keyboard.
3.. Click the Input Locales tab.
There is no such tab. I have "Speed" and "Hardware" only. I am using a Dell
Inspiron 8500 Notebook.

I see what you mean - I actually have it on my Dell Windows 2000 Laptop, but
it's not there on my Dell Windows XP Pro Desktop or my Sony Windows XO Pro
Desktop. Give me a while to do some looking around to see what I can find.

Pete -

Not sure if this is the same for FP2002, but in FP2000 the language for the
web is set by FrontPage.

This is how you would change it in FP2000 :-

Open FP, select Tools, select Page Options - you should now see where the
language is set.

In FP2000, English (Australian) is an option. But please remember that your
site will be seen worldwide, and not everyone who understands (proper)
English will be able to read the Australian :) :)

Sorry - forget the earlier post - just read the Microsoft error report which
would indicate things are not working as advertised.
