FP2002 Orphan a page

C

Crash Gordon

Howdy...

How do I make an existing page an orphan? I tried dragging it free in Navigation but it doesn't appear to work. Also dragging it from Nav. Pane doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong? I already have 3 orphans and I would like this forth one to keep the others company so they don't get lonely.

TIA,

Rob

Hi Crash,

Try right clicking on the page box in navigation view...choose delete..and
then make sure you only check "Remove page from the navigation structure" so
you don't totally delete the page!

Webmaster

Gordon,

If you right click on the page in FP and click on "Include in
Navigation" so that it is no longer included...then it will be an orphan
page.

Good Luck,
Carl

Thanks Joe... I tried that. It removes it from navigation page entirely and never appears as my other orphans do. (The page still exists, but not visible in Nav. View)

Do I need more coffee...or a beer?

:)

Any other idears?

Rob

Hi Rob,

Coffee or Beer...is like a hammer or duct tape...one is always the right
tool for the job!

Anyways the definition of an orphan page is one that cannot be reached by
following links from your home page..so you might want to check to see if
there is a link to it on your home page. You might want to try running a
tools | recalculate hyperlinks after you remove any links to it..and see if
it then changes.

Crash Gordon

beer & coffee = borfee?

another question...

I created a custom hit counter .gif... I made the size divisible by 10 and it works but the spacing of the digits is googy (that's a technical term). The .gif looks good except when working. Any ideas?

tia,,,
