Greetings.
I have a PKI server certificate installed on IIS 6.0 and require
client certificates for access (with client certs properly mapped to
usernames). Because there's a problem with my CRL provider, I've set
CertCheckMode to 1 on the server. Browsing works fine in this
configuration, but editing with FrontPage 2003 does not. FP should
prompt me for the client certificate and then open the web site
(that's how my similarly-configured IIS 5.0 server works, no problem).
That doesn't happen. Instead, whether I invoke "Edit with FrontPage"
from within IE while browsing the restricted site, or I start FP
manually and then attempt to open the site, either I get prompted for
the client certificate and the web site fails to open, or the web site
fails to open without prompting. In any case, wecerr.txt contains "You
are not authorized to perform the current operation."
Turning on an authentication method such as Integrated Windows
authentication makes the site instantly available from within FP, no
problem.
Any suggestions? Thanks,
