I have an application that requires the following website performance
characteristics and would like to know if FP2003 can handle it.
The website is initially accessed through an intro page which requests an
email input or password. Given an email input the website will automatically
generated a random password to provide access into the secure site and send
it out to the email input. This email is associated with this password for
use in this specific visitor’s profile.
Upon accessing the main site with their password the visitor selects from a
list of date critical events (in a check box type format) to be notified
about the specific events, via email. The visitor inputs their zip code and
selects to be notified by email 1, 3, or 5 days before the event. Email
notification has to happen automatically. This becomes the visitor’s profile
which can be deleted or edited on-line by the visitor in the future including
their password. Emails are not editable and act as permanent lock for this
profile. A new email requires a new profile and must go back through the
security check process mentioned above.
The event information needs to be input through a web form that is evaluated
by the web manager and can then be linked to the notification email process
via the check box. The check box will be manually created in the website by
the web manager.
The emails sent out by the system have to be format able to permit
notifications about new events, similar events, system notices and inclusion
of sponsor information.
Thanks for your input on this matter.
