FP2003: Black horizontal bar in design view

When I edit a page with FrontPage 2003 in design view, after a little
while a black horizontal bar appears in the design view window.
Resizing the FrontPage window makes it go away... for just a very
little time. Then it comes back.
I think it is a problem with FrontPage's rendering engine.

How can I get rid of this misbehaviour?

Any suggestions to the group are welcome!

TIA!

Sounds more like a video card driver error
- try updating your video card driver (and directX) to the latest for your OS

Yep, did that already.
This behaviour also occurs on other pc's in our organisation with
different video cards, drivers and monitors.

Do the machines by any chance have the intel 820 series display adapters with
the IGFX series of drivers and the igfx graphics interface installed??

If so I had a similar issue with that and uninstalled the entire igfx setup,
then removed the display adapter from device manager
and then rebooted and let the machine install the generic Microsoft driver.

Just a thought. If so, you might try it on one machine and see if it makes a
difference.

Have never seen it
- are they also all running same version or IE (FP heavily relies on IE)

I had the exact same thing on a site a while back. I thought it was a style
sheet issue. try removing your style sheet link and see if it goes away.
