The only remaining issue is the background, a symmetrical 280C Pantone
blue with zero transparency at the edges and 100% transparency in the
middle. When produced with the gradient fill feature in FP2003, the
large format prints contain undesired hue shifts. The electornic copy
is great, as are the desktop small format inkjet prints. File creation
with color options of CMYK and CMYK+spot and file types of .pdf and
..tiff make no difference.
The desired production method is for FP2003 to create the background
instead of using background images. A test using a transparent TIFF
works but is a real pain to get right. If the FP option is not there,
step by step advice on workaround options is greatly appreciated.
