FP98 navigation content missing

I'm using FP98. In navigation view I can see the folders
in the top frame but the files that make up the content do
not display. If I click in the pane and use the cursor
keys I can see that the files are there. But I can't click
and drag the files to the folders.

Any idea what's wrong here?

You have to drag the files into the top pane to create your navigation view.

You also must have the web open in FP Explorer.

The web IS open. There are existing folders/files in the
TOP pane. The problem is: the files in the bottom panes do
not appear. You cannot see them.

1. Open the web via FP Explorer
2. Make sure Views: Folders is selected and in the All Folder Panel, that
the top most folder (root) is selected.
3. Select Views: Navigation

I am having exactly the same problem with my FP2002. It was OK before
when I could see all the link pages in Navigation view. I must have
messed up something and now I no longer have the whole tree in Navg
view.

i also notice that the following folders are missing from the web
folder: _derived,_fpclass,_overlay,_private

Would that be the reason?

1. Open the web via FP Explorer
2. Make sure Views: Folders is selected and in the All Folder Panel, that
the top most folder (root) is selected.
3. Select Views: Navigation

That didn't do it. I appreciate that you tried to help.

While I can't see the files to click and drag, if I right
click to create a new folder, I can see the text I'm
typing to name the folder but once I press enter to create
the folder all text and the bottom pane disappears!

I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling FP to no avail.
