Fr MVPs: installing Office 2007 Home & Student in a system with Office 2003 Professional

I have a license of Office 2003 Professional (Italian version) and I am
planning to purchase a version of Office 2007 Home & Student (Italian
version) for my daughter's laptop. I was told that it can be installed on up
to three PCs in the same home. That is, I could install it on my desktop
too, but... what will happen then? Is it possible to install and use Word
2007, Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007, and continue to use at the same time
Outlook 2003, Access 2003, and Publisher 2003? Both suites are Italian, but
I wonder if they could cohexist. I want to be sure I can use the new suite
before purchasing it. Thank you in advance.

I would really appreciated if any MVP could reply to this one. I need to
know before purchasing the product.
I called Microsoft Help Desk and they told me that this is the ONLY OFFICIAL
WAY to get technical support from Microsoft BEFORE purchasing the product.
Is it true?

Thank you very much! Tomorrow I will purchase the H&S version! It's great to
be able to use at the same time Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 and Access,
Outlook, and Publisher 2003.

I was told that 2007 has a new file format which is not compatible with
2003. In case I wish to edit a file on my desktop by a Office 2007 program
and send it to some person who has Office 2003, what should I do?

| Yes, The new version will only upgrade the programs that are already on
your
| computer. It will not "wipe out" programs not included with the new
| software.
