Frames and new windows opening incorrectly

Certain sections of my site use frames and sometimes a new window will open
(for some external links) when I don't want them to.

See http://www.pw9.co.uk/film_stuff/films_index.htm to see what I mean.
All of the links I use in the side flash menu are directed to the main frame
and this works perfectly most of the time. However, some sites the links are
directed to make the next link visited to open in a new window. An example
would be in the section for 'Movie Clips'. All of the links work as expected
and open in the main frame. When you try the link for 'Video Detective' it
will open in the main frame - ok. Any links visited after this will open in
a new window.

Why does this happen and what can I do to stop it?

Framing other sites in your frames w/o their permission is considered illegal and you can't control their content
- always open other sites in a new window as a common courtesy
- the other sites don't want to be framed by you and hopefully are resetting the frames and targets to prevent it (or cause you link
problems)
