I'm new at this and don't have a lot of knowlage a bout computers i have an
old gateway 1993 was the year it was build and has been redone from one end
to a nother but it doesn't have the color settings i need to run some games
or to display pictures that i need to and if there is any one that can help
me i would greatly apreate it thanks from this home and have a fine new year

You should ask your question in a newsgroup related to your operating
system, such as microsoft.public.win98.display.general.

You can fix your problem by installing the correct drivers for your specific
video adapter card hardware. You will find them at the www site of the
manufacturer. If the correct drivers are already installed then you need to
upgrade your video adapter card.
