Free Invisible Hit Counters

Can anyone please recommend a free hit counter that can be made invisible to
anyone viewing the relevant site?

Cheers, David.

If your server has FrontPage extensions installed,
you can use the FrontPage hit counter.
Just create a 1 pixel by 1 pixel gif image and use
it as the custom image for your counter.

The count is maintained in the _private
folder in a file named pagename.htm.cnt which
can be viewed in notepad to see the "count"

Steve,

Yes, I do have extensions installed. Didn't realise the count facility
existed in FrontPage.

Many thanks indeed.

David.

Is there any way to check the hit counters on multiple-
page web sites without actually going onto the web site?
