free space inserted at the bottom of pages in Word2007

Hi,
The text jumps from the middle of one page to the next without me asking
for it and without any sign of invisible characters showing the reason
for it (ie page breaks, paragraph marks margins style indications).
Backspacing the following page finally manages the text to follow
normally on the previous page.
I also checked the style but its just Normal.dotx with nothing out of
the ordinary.
I'm using Word 2007 running on Vista.
Thanks for your help,

David

I see something similar to that here sometimes on one of my computers... as
I reach the bottom of the page. As it happens on one of my computers but not
the other, I suspect that it's a display issue. In my case, I'm using the
latest released display driver, so I'll have to wait to see if a new one
comes along & fixes it. In your case, I would suggest that you see if there
is an updated display driver available.

Thanks for your imput, however it alos shows when one prints the pages
like the bottom 30% is clear and there's definitly some kind of hidden
command that calls for the page break.
all the best,
David

Certain paragraph formatting can induce an automatic page break. At the top
of the following page, right-click the first text at the top of the page,
and choose Paragraph. In the Line and Page Breaks tab, is "Page break
before" checked?
