Where can I find downloads
for old Work or Works?

There's not a single version of Works or Word that is not still under
copyright. You can, possibly, find a dealer of current versions of Microsoft
software where you can purchase and download.

You can download OpenOffice for free, which has a word processor. I haven't
used it, so can't talk about how good or bad it is, only that it exists, and
I _think_ it can read/save some version of Microsoft Word documents.
