Freeze table so a cell will not expand

Is there a way to lock/freeze a given (or All) cell heights in a given table
I have a form laid out in a table
Cells expand when text is entered and parts of the table roll to a second page - not desired
Word 2002 and Windows XP Hom

Have you tried Table | Properties | Row: Height: Exactly--?
